These kids make me smile! We had a fun Easter celebration the Saturday before Easter. Coloring Easter Eggs!

Natalee and Mylee enjoying themselves! It was a fun day! After we colored eggs we had a yummy feast of Hawaiian Haystack! Then the hunt began, The grandkids were hunting for colored eggs full of Treasurers, and the Adult children, were hunting for Groceries, to fill there baskets. I decided Amber and Nate were the most Competitive team, then Laurie and Colby! It was great competition, and in the end they made a few trades with each other!

Some of the loot, they each went home with!

Colby took these Easter pictures, and what a project! Try to get 6 kids from the age of 12 to 3 weeks old to all cooperate at once! The middle four were all ready to pose, but not Dallon, the oldest, we had to beg him to pose, and as soon as the picture was taken that vest was taken off ! Then Baby Paxton, he was more intresested in having Lunch than a photo shoot! But we did get a few good photos! Thanks Colby!

A rare pose from Noah! He hates photo shoots! I love it when my Kids and Grankids come to visit. You know it is a Journey, "Over the River and through the Woods, to Grandmas house we go"! But I think it is worth it. My house is alot different than there homes, there is no Wii, no Guitar Hero, No ipods. But there is a Trampoline, a Hot Tub Pool Party, a Playhouse, a huge Barbie collection. I love to watch the creativity begin. A Dance show is usually choreographed and performed, with lots of laughing.

But when Mylee 2-1/2 is back home in the City, it makes me smile when she wakes up one morning and starts throwing clothes in her suitcase , and says, "see ya mom, I am going to GiGi's! Or when Noah 3 comes over for a mid-week visit, and as he comes walking up the stairs hollers!, " Hey GiGi, I'm home, where are you!! Yup, these kids put A Smile On My Face!!

After a long day, and a bowel movement inside his Mom, a 12 hour labor and 2 hours of pushing her hardest, the doctors finally used Forceps to practically pull him out! He had some red scratches, and a cone shaped head! But he was okay! The nest morning he was all healed up!

Lots of support, ice chips, kind words of encouragement, and some scarry minutes. These two made it through this life changing experience!

I have been slacking on updating my blog, but I have a good excuse! I started a back treatment therapy about 3 weeks ago, and I have had to be to appointments 3 times a week, in Salt Lake City,which will continue for another month! So no free time on my hands! As I was laying awake one night at 3 AM, in pain and so frustrated with my back and leg pain, an advertisement came on the TV talking about spinal care and how they can help herniated discs! So I called them as soon as I could the next day! I met with Doctor Hedstrom, who was so proffesional,and he reviewed my before and after MRI's and it showed that the herniated disc surgery I had one year ago had worked, BUT, right above it was another herniated disc, that was there on the first MRI, and was still there on the 2nd MRI! OK what can I say--- my surgeon is an IDIOT! I had 2 herniated discs, he onlt bothered to fix one!So the pain I have felt for the last year in a half was real! But the good news is Dr. Hedstrom, can help me and can repair my herniated disc without surgery! So my Journey to feeling better has begun! On my first visit to see the Dr. I could not stand up straight, I walked and looked like a 90 year old lady! I could not bend over, I could not sleep, I could not turn over in bed without horrible pain! I was a mess! It hurt to sneeze, or cough. I couldn't move basically! So this amazing machine above , has improved my condition sooo much. I am belted up ,like I am going bungie jumping , then hooked to the machine, which is all computerized. I lay on the machine while it works my spine. No pain only relief. It pulls my Spine and slowly adjust it back, an in the process oxygen is absorbed into the herniated disc helping it to re-absorb back into place and take pressure off of my NERVE! It is realy helping me! I am not 100% yet, but the improvement is amazing! I also wear a back brace when at home, and live on ice! I am on High Magnesium, and Fish oils, and will be starting a muscle strenghthening program soon! I am so happy that I heard that advertisement, it has given me hope, that I can feel good and become normal again!

Magna Cum Laude

We are so proud of Laurie , she graduated from Utah State University, Magna Cum Laude! I have decided she is a December Girl, ( She chose December for her wedding day also)! We woke up Saturday morning to pick-up Laurie and Colby to head over Logan Canyon in 5 inches of new snow, and a total white out! It was slippery, and slow going, but we made it in time for Laurie to Walk in the graduation procession! She has worked so hard for this minute, I didn't want her to miss it! Larie has grown into such an amazing girl! Lots of hard work! Late nights studying, the last semester, driving over Logan Canyon weekly. But, She did it! And has a job!

Holiday Magic

Amber , Nate, Natalee and Noah came with us this year in the search for the perfect christmas tree! We found it!! Nate had it all strapped in the back of the truck before I got pictures! This beautiful tree is in Ambers home, so check out her blog, I am sure she will post pictures of it soon! We had such a fun time finding trees. Jordon ,Ashlee, Max and Hudson, came along also!

And talk about cute kids! They really love each other, and they were all in search of the perfect Christmas tree of their own! And they found them! Natalee dragging her tree and Noahs to the truck!

Natalee and Max, cute cousins! They were so excited to find a tree! Max brought his Superchain saw! (It was Plastic) It didnt crush his spirits when it wouldnt cut down his tree! He just recruited his dad!

More Holiday Magic! Look how much it cost me to fill up my Expedition! I just saved $50!

I shot this a few days ago, and since then it has dropped to $133 per gallon! I dont know how long this will last, but I am loving it for the minute! And just think of the money saved, to spend on Holiday surprises! On the news last night it was quoting the lowest gas prices, it said the cheapest one they could find was in Missouri for $151 per gallon ! Ha Ha they dont know about Wyo. Maverik gas!

FAMILY ! FALL ! FUN !

I was so excited to get to spend time with Nicole. She needed to drive to Rexburg Idaho to attend a Graduate Fair, for her work, so I jumped in the white motor pool van, and off we went! We had a great visit and it was fun to see her in action with her job!She spent 10 days in the Northern end of Utah, we loved having her here, but it was so hard on her, to be away from Andy that long! She was so miserable without him , towards the end I was really counting the minutes until she could head South!

A Jazz game with Doug and I, Colby and Laurie, Brie and Breck. This is the only picture that turned out ! Go Jazz!

Freezer meals! Holly and Amber came up with this great plan to make freezer meals for each of us to have all prepared and frozen for a busy day! They planned 18 freezer meals, for 5 families! Holly ( Amazing) did all the shopping! She loaded her van with kids and food and drove to my house! We all went to work cutting ,chopping ,and cooking some very delicious meals! Then we divided the cost and everybody took home a big treasure! I have love it, on a busy day I just go the freezer and its ready to cook! Not to mention they were delicious! We plan on doing this again!

This is just some of the food, holly brought, we had used up alot by the time I remembered to take pictures!

The weather was so nice, the kids were having there own fun, while we made freezer meals, they made a huge bonfire and had a weenie roast! Not to mention fun times raking leaves and a big finale hot-tub party! I was to busy to take all the pictures!

The breath taking Tennesse Mountains! We had a chance to visit the beautiful state of Tennesse. Holly and Kevin were going that direction to move Chris and Jenny Yeager back to Utah! We decided to go along! It was so amazing! We picked the best time of the year to visit this beautiful state covered in rolling hills with trees in every hue! Pictured below are the Smokie Mountains! This picture does not even come close to capturing the beauty.

Everywhere you looked you saw trees! The Knoxville area, Gatlenburg ,and the Smokie Mountains were the most Breathtaking!

The whole area was Festive decked out in Fall Decor!

Dollywood, similar to Disneyland, was a highlight fot the kids! The weather was a perfect 80 degrees.

Our own little Hillybilly named Mylee, at the end of the day at Dollywood! She had gone through 3 outfits at this point! While we were enjoying the warm weather, our kids back home were experiencing cold weather and snow!

The Famous Dixie Stampede! While watching this entertaining show of Horse riding and fun competions, between the North and the South, we were seated in rows around the arena at a tables eating the most delicious Tennesee style food!

Nashville was also fun! The Country Music Hall of Fame Museum was 3 stories of fun History!

At the end of day this is how we all felt! Exhausted!

Kevin and Chris left on Monday with the moving van full of furniture with 27 hours of driving ahead of them! The rest of us flew home! Frontier Airlines did not know what hit when 2 young moms, a 3 month old, two 2-year olds, a 6-year old, an 8-year old, a 12-year old, and grandma and grandpa arrived! It was a zoo getting all kids and carry ons through security, but we made it on the plane in time!

The Bounties of Fall!

Example of Mylee brightening my life! Holly and I went shopping at Ikea, and Mylee wanted to ride in the shopping sack! Holly was afraid she would break it,or that we would get in trouble! Just the opposite, all the workers at Ikea, loved it and said we need a picture of this on our Ikea add! It was such an enjoyable journey through Ikea, she was so happy riding in the shopping sack!

Tryce, making me smile! At the buffet in Vegas, Gentry brought Tryce this treat, a brownie with whipped cream on top! Oh did he ever have fun, playing and eating! Michelle just let him get in this mess, then she just cleaned him and his cars up with wet wipes!

Noah always makes me smile! He has on my reading glasses! He is such a loveable boy! We were having a picnic on the grass sitting on a blanket, and when I came to sit down, he said, GiGi, sit by me! It just made my Day!!

Fall is in the air!

I love the seasons to change! I am always ready for the change, tired of watering and mowing the lawn, now I have piles of leaves to rake! Fall is my Favorite season. The brilliant colors, the chill in the air. The feeling of getting cozy in a warm home, as a yummy pot of soup is cooking on the stove and the smell of pumpkin pie! As the seasons change, it makes me realize I have so much to be thank-ful for, a very hard-working husband, a beautiful warm home, five kids, who are my very best friends, and they all married someone I aslo love to be around! Five beautiful grandkids that brighten my life daily! Freinds who really care. A cozy comfy bed, with a fun reading re-treat, and a good book to read. A hot soak in the bath-tub~! Fun get-away plans, health and strenghth! A good nights sleep! Getting to relax and listen to General Conference on T.V. ! Just a few things that come to my mind! It really is the simple things that matter most!

TWELVE YEARS OLD!

Happy Birthday Dallon! I remember 12 years ago when you born in Omaha Nebraska! We couldn't wait to meet you, our FIRST grandchild! What a special boy! Dallon is so fun to be around. He has so many friends, and treats everyone so kind. He can also be perfectly content, being his own best friend! Dallon is the best big brother! A great example to all! Dallon spent 3 days with me while his parents were out of town, he was so much help! His little sisters love and adore him! Dallon treats his cousins kind also, they really look up to him! I love that Dallon always has a hug and a kiss good-bye for me, now that he is twelve I don't know how long that will last! Sunday Dallon will become a deacon, and recieve the aaronic priesthood! I am so proud of Dallon! Happy Birthday, we love you!

Happy Birthday wishes are coming one day late! Our lives are have changed so much in the last few days, I have not been able to get this posted until now! I had to prepare and present a "Get to know the new Bishop" to the primary kids the other day, it was fun and I have been thinking about his life alot lately! He definately is accident prone, 2 broken arms, 1 broken nose, he lost all of his front teeth in a motorcycle wreck when he was 17, He lost all 4 fingers on his left hand in an accident when he was 30 years old. The doctor saved 3 of them! But I decided he has Nine lives! Doug is such a HARDWORKER, one of his many great qualities..What ever he is doing he goes above and beyond! He is so SMART, it amazes me how much he knows! I decided he has earned every gray hair and every wrinkle! Fifty-five years of memories! This is a picture I just love, it is a little Tattered, but so dang cute! He looks about 4 years old!

My Baby is turning 19! It doesn't seem that long ago that she was this little! And then Twelve years old with Aubrey, after a day at Bear Lake. Now Aubrey is taller than Brie and 5 years younger!

When BrieAnna was born,19 years ago, she had lots of mothers! Holly Nicole, and Amber, her big sisters! Colby her closest sibling was also a Pro at taking care of her! I loved all the help. Brie absolutely loves her sisters! Her brother Colby is also on her list of favorites! I remember Grandpa Bingham saying, " when she gets older she is going to hate her name! But so far just the opposite, she did drop the ANNA and is just BRIE!

I have told her since she was just little, that she was sent down from Heaven to be my little friend, and to keep me young, or to put me in my Grave early! We are still in the process of this one!

I remember Colby used to always tell her that she was adopted! She believed him for a long time!

Five Neices and Nephews bring lots of smiles to her face!

Brie has an infectuous giggle and loves to laugh! Her beautiful smile brightens the day! Brie is a Fashion girl, she loves to shop, I am sure she could break a record for owning the most shoes or purses! Some more favorites, she loves the Ocean, she loves Bear Lake, she loves to eat out, she loves to travel , and is always up for an adventurer! She is our beauty consultant, and we all love it when she has time for a hair or make-up makeover . Brie is very giving and loves to give her hand me downs to many! She is shy and doesnt say much until she gets to know you! But My favorite thing about Brie, is her huge heart, she is very compassionate and reaches out to anyone who is sad. I am so glad I have her as a friend ! Happy Birthday Brie!! I Love you!!

NEW ADGENDA!

Four weeks ago Doug and I met with our Stake President for an interview. We had just inspected 4 homes in Salt Lake City, and made a mad dash to be in his office at 7:30, we arrived 7 minutes late, and apologized, saying our life is crazy! He said, "well I am about to make it crazier"!
Doug is now the new Bishop of the Randolph 1st ward, and for sure his life is going to be crazy! When he spoke to the ward on Sunday he gave this analogy of his life....He said, "I am like a tough piece of beef steak, that needed, pounding, tenderizing, seasoning,searing, and lots and lots of patient steaming to make me tender." I have been a wittness to most of this tenderizing! He definately has a tender heart when it comes to His Savior Jesus Christ. I know he will do a great job!

THE FESTIVAL!

We went to the Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City with Andy and Nicole! Taming of the Shrew, pictured above was one of our favorites! Non traditionally,Set during the close of World War II, and very entertaining!We also watched Fiddler on the Roof, my all time favorite! Both performances were excellent!

The best part ,spending time with the Funderburks!

And eating delicious food, Grilled fish Tacos, grilled corn on the cob! Andy and Nicole know how to entertain!

I am glad I have 5 kids! We just take turns spending time with each one of them, and love every minute of it!!

SUPERHERO'S

Three Heros of mine.... Diana as Buzz Light Year, and Stake Camp Director. Linda as Woody.. and assistant Stake Camp Director,and Heidi as Jessie, Assistant Stake camp director,and my Little Sister! These 3 friends have always been Heros to me. They are so creative, organized, spiritual and Fun, such great examples for the girls in the Kemmerer Stake! The theme for Camp this year was "TO ETERNITY and BEYOND! More Heros of mine! Whitlee, Heidi, Doug, Natalee, Laurie and Noah! DOUG WAS SUPERMAN IN THE SKIT AN HE WAS PRETTY FUNNY!

More fun times! Sunday after church Colby and Laurie called to see if we wanted to go for a ride up in the Mountains and cook Tin Foil Dinners! Of course we said YES, we love the mountains, and the wild flowers were blooming so beautiful everywhere! We ended up right by the Stake girls campground, by Red Spur! My Old stomping grounds!

We have made it a tradition to have a "GIRLS GETAWAY" every year! My Aunt Shirlene gave me the idea. She does this every year, with her six daughter-in laws and one daughter! Her goal was to become closer with these girls!! I liked that idea! I have four daughters and One Daughter-in-law, oh and Michelle, she is one of my girls too, we have adopted her! Honestly, they are my favorite friends!! It is so fun to spend time with all of them! We all agree on where to go and what to do!! Visiting...Relaxing....Shopping...Pedicures...EatingOut.....Entertainment!
Phantom of the Opera was a highlight! We had great seats! Eating Ice Cream, at the Belagio was another bonding moment!

The beach bags from Becky had, flip flops, a notepad, chewing gum, flavored water, bath gel, and a snack! (I got these pictures backwards)

Becky Briggs, Michelles sweet neighbor and friend, made each one of us a BEACH BAG, full of fun items for our Pool Party! Becky is moving to Utah from Vegas! We plan on including her in a few outings for sure!

A yummy Bar-B-Que at their home, an interesting tour of 3 Cemeteries! Learning, Reminising, and finding the grave of the Famous Erastus Bingham!

Just a normal day on the job........Maybe not!! Doug was shooting comparable photos on a sleepy country road in Swan Creek Villiage above Garden City, looking at his papers for the correct address ,not watching the road... When he hit this with his front right tire

NATE AND NATALEE TURN ONE YEAR OLDER Four years ago when Natalee was born on her Dads Birthday, Amber knew she had to name her Natalee! What a perfect birthday present for Nate , A new baby daughter. Natalee has been a heaven sent blessing, she had the magic it took to touch her dad deeply~~ In the past four years I have watched Nate take on the responsibilities and challenges of fatherhood, and become such a great Dad! Nate connected with Natalee from day one!
Nate is such a fun member to have in our family! He loves to tease and torture, he makes bets about anything(He pays up to), always full of fun! Nate is a hardworker, he is smart, always thinking and coming up with a new plan, so business minded!! Nate loves to golf ( He is such a Pro), wakeboard, waterski (One Ski), Jet ski, snowski, snowmobile, play basketball and baseball! He just had knee surgery about 5 weeks ago, a result of some of the above! Nate was the push behind my bedroom remodel, I love it so much!Nate is a great Husband, and a great father. So proud to call him my Son-in-law! Happy 30th Nate, we love you!
Natalee just brings a smile to my face when I think of all the times she has made me laugh! At 4 years old she really thinks she is as grown up as her mom! As they are going out the door she makes sure her mom has everything, she'll say "Mom do you you have your coat, or did we get Noahs bottle, or do you have the Keys" it is so cute, she is such a helper! One day Amber lost her credit card and was searching everywhere frantically looking for it, and Natalee said, " oh mom it is right here in my purse, I needed it to go shopping"! Natalee is such a good big sister to Noah, they play so cute together! Happy Fourth Birthday Natalee, we love you!

NICOLE recieved her Master Degree on Friday May 2nd, in Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP) with an emphasis in student affairs. NICOLE is quoted in an article saying " I chose ELP because it is entirely descriptive of my background and intentions in education and I heard the program was ranked 12th in the nation. A colleague of mine was enrolled in the program and that is how I discovered it. The program has been such an engaging learning experience for me. I can apply so much of what I learn in class to work and vice versa. I have especially greatly appreciated the focus on social justice issues." Unquote! NICOLE traveled one day a week from Cedar City to Salt Lake City To the University of Utah, from August through May! And also took online courses. She studied hard, took lots of test ,wrote reasearch papers plus worked her full time job at Southern Utah University, regruiting graduate students! We are so proud of NICOLE and her accomplishments!Andy was a great support to Nicole!

Miss Mylee, running away! She really did, we were all busy playing games and putting together a barbque grill, the back sliding door was open and the sun was so warm and delightful, and all of a sudden Holly said, where is Mylee!!!! We searched the house frantically, NO MYLEE, we searched the yard , NO MYLEE, everybody was running around like crazy people screaming MYLEE MYLEE!! we ran to the street, NO MYLEE , Andy ran to the next street, and saw her walking AWAY on a good strutt, with dogs in tow ! They were protecting her!!!! Needless to say we all picked her up and hugged and kissed her to pieces! Lucky the speed limit is zero and not many cars. She was never out of our sight after that!!

I Am in love with this Store! It is my favorite place to shop.... I always find what I want and MORE!! Birthday Gifts, Baby Gifts, Shower Gifts, Mothers Day Gifts, Not to mention, decorating items, Cute clothes, fun shoes, cool purses! The St. George Store is my Favorite......it is called TJ Maxx and MORE!!! The last time I was there, I told Brie to not let me go near that store , it is dangerous because it is so big , and has alot more to offer! The last time I shopped I found these yummy food items from The Barefoot Contessa for $5! Who would have thought I could grocery shop at TJ Maxx!!! So I bought them thinking I would just try them out. All three of these delightful DELIGHTS were such a hit that they were devoured before I knew what had happened!! I know where I am grocery shopping...HaHa! Thumbprint Cookies with fresh Raspberry Jelly! Ally and I made these on April 2nd!

Hooray Ally is 8!! And is she ever Great!! Such a Social Butterfly, cant sit still for a minute. Ally is such a entertainer, She has amazing rythym, so it is only fitting that her Birthday Party was a Rock and Roll Bash at Sweet and Sassy! I love to watch Ally Perform. Ally is adored by her little sister Mylee and her Cousin Natalee! They watch her and follow her example. Ally Adores her Big brother Dallon and her Aunt Brie! She watches them and follows their example!

When Ally was 13 months old, she spent a week with me while her parents went to Oregon, and when they returned she took one look at them and wrapped her arms around me! It broke Hollys heart! But I know that week together is what bonded us, we have been the best of chums ever since! Ally loves to come and visit me, and spend the night. She loves to call and chat on the phone, she has the cutest giggle! She has the most beautiful thick blonde hair. I am so proud to call her mine! Happy Birthday Ally, You little Diva!

This is one cute little boy!! Noah and I connected when he was just a baby, and we still have that special relationship.....I hope it lasts forever! Above he is learning to share so well, a hard task for a two year old! If his hands get cold he says "Pocket, Pocket". and he slips his hands in his pocket until they are warmed up! Noah is all Boy! He has inherited his dads amazing golfing skills and can swing those clubs and connect with the ball, just so naturally! He loves Hammers, Trucks and Balls. If he has a ball in his hand and pulls it back to throw, watch out, it is coming at you fast, hard and right on the money!! Noah loves the dogs, the first thing he says to me when he sees me is, where is Alta? He means Tinka, but for some reason both of his favorite dogs are named Alta!! We have tried to explain!! Then the next thing he asks me is "Where is PaPa"? He loves his Papa. But, my very favorite thing about Noah, when he sees me his face lights up and he runs over to me to give me a big hug and a kiss! Noah I love you ! Happy Birthday!!

Maeve is having her baby boy soon, so it was a good excuse for a girls get together! Maeve got lots of lovely gifts for her new baby!

I have had the calling of Enrichment Night Leader in my ward for 4 plus years now!! I had never attended Relief Society until that point, always having callings in Primary and Young Womens. Oh I forgot I did serve in the Relief Society Presidency for one month, and was called to be Stake Young Women President . So for the first year in this calling I was trying to figure out what Relief Society was all about. I think I understand. It is all about Sisterhood , helping each other grow spiritually, Learning new homemaking skills. To learn how to Enrich our homes and our lives!! I put my whole heart into it, and I have enjoyed the journey..... But, when you are planning your 5th Relief Society Birthday party ! I am feeling a Huge BURN OUT! I have never asked to be released from a calling, but when you have survived 3 presidencies! Yeah I have been practicing my I NEED TO BE RELEASED speech! ( I will never do it)!! I am in Desperate need of your help! I need IDEAS! What do they do in other Wards. Please share! ANYBODY!

We just returned from sunny St. George. A much needed break from the cold and the snow! We got to spend time with Nicole and Andy, Amber, Nate and Kids, and Brie and Breck, viewing the beautiful Parade of Homes in Southern Utah. It is fun to see all the different styles, the awesome decor, the most inviting backyards, Family rooms, Theatre rooms, the beautiful settings and views, its fun to just get ideas and dream of someday owning one!!!

I have to admit it, since Kyle Korver came to Salt Lake City, I have suddenly become a huge Jazz fan. I love to watch Kyle play basketball. I know him! He is so genuine and humble, Not to mention a great athelete. Thanks to Greg and Michelle Grensing, (Greg coached Kyle at Creighton University), And Kevin and Holly, Who have been friends with Kyle from Creighton Days, I get to rub shoulders with Kyle. Yes not only watch him play ball, but visit with him after games in the Family room, eat dinner with him, and just be around a great Guy. I know when he was drop kicked to Salt Lake City in the trade, he was in shock, and has adjusted so well. He has made friends with the Team, and loves playing for the Jazz. When he compares his experience playing for the Jazz to playing for the Phillys he loves The Utah Jazz. I have been impressed as I watch this team after games in the Family room, sign autographs for kids, give them their sweatbands, give them their shoes. The faces just light up!! I am so impressed also that Kyle has not and will not cover his body in Tatoos!! What a good example. ( I am beginnning to feel like Grandma Bingham and John Stockton)! My friendship with Kyle is like a Mom! Welcome to Utah Kyle we hope you stay forever!!

WINTER PROJECT

After all the demolition was complete.

The demolition crew. Nate, Brandon and Brett. These guys demolished this in 1 hour and hauled off all the garbage.

Natalee helped put the bed back together, but had to practice her tight rope walking. Her outfit is fun, she always goes into Brie's room and finds dressups to wear, this one is pretty mellow usually it is skimpy tank tops and high heels!!

My new shelves in the walk in closet. I can now see what my options are for clothes and shoes. It was obvious that I have more clothes than Doug. (That is normal, Right)

New closet, all empty and ready to fill, it did shrink a little after I filled it up. But I love it!

I had this brilliant Idea about 4 months ago to knock down the wall between my room and the unused bedroom next to it. my bedroom was cramed full, disfunctional closets, and 30 year old carpet. So I mentioned this idea to Doug. He kinda liked the idea. I mentioned it to Nate, he really liked the idea, and went to work on a plan. On Jan . 21st, Nicole and Andy came to help me remove everything from the 2 rooms. A major project with lots of bags for the deseret industries. On Jan 22, the Lakeview Cabins demolition crew arrived and with lots of dust, plaster and paint in the air. Two weeks later the room was finished! Amber and kids came to help us move back in. This has turned out to be such a welcoming retreat. The new closet is amazing! I did wish I had Nicole to help me organize, she will be back. This has been a major improvement, we couldn't be happier. Thanks so much Nicole, Andy, Nate, Amber, Natalee, and Noah ! WE LOVE IT!!!

EVERYDAY LIVING

Since I had my back surgery Doug has had to pull double duty keeping things running smoothly! I know he is getting tired of me saying "Will you please haul this dirty laundry downstairs", or "when you get a minute will you take the garbage out" or "please take this clean load of laundry back upstairs for me"! But he does it, and is always reminding me not to lift or bend! He has also been the cook, creating some delicious meals, Salmon Tacos, Shrimp Ravioli, Chicken Enchiladas, Pot Roast, Yummy Fruit Smoothies, he even cleans up the kitchen after. Besides doing all of my jobs he has been so busy keeping on top of his own business without much help from me. He has been pretty amazing!! I appreciate his help and support, I am feeling a little better everyday, and can't wait until I can pull my share of the load!! He will need a nice vacation after this is all over and will deserve it!!! I did try to get more pictures of him in action, but he moved so fast all my pictures showed his rear view!!

OHHHH MY ACHING BACK!!!

I have been waiting to do a blog update on my back surgery, hoping things would improve faster and I would have good news!!! On Dec. 26th I had surgery to repair a herniated disc in my lower back. But I am getting frustrated, things are not improving that fast and I still have alot of pain!! I know it has only been 2 weeks, so i need to give it more time. But I have talked to other people who had this surgery and the pain was immediately relieved. I became concerned and called my Surgeon, who said everyone responds and heals differently. But he also said that 95% of this type of surgery are successful so lets hope and pray I am not the other 5%!!!!! I am having a hard time standing up straight and sleeping at night, not to mention I can't stand up for very long period of time. I really appreciate everybodys help, love and concern for me!! I just hope i can heal and be back to feeling myself again someday soon. I am not a very good lay around type of person!!!

Happy Birthday Colby Jay! Born 1-1-1983! I remember this day. I worried about arriving safe at the hospital, not knowing what kind of winter roads Logan Canyon would provide.(It was closed 2 days ago). I was worried about drunk New Years Ever's out celebrating on the highways. But the trip was uneventful, we arrived safe on New Years Eve and the pain got worse. All the nurses said: You are the only one here, you are going to have the 1st Baby of 1983! That was the least of my concerns at that minute. And I performed traditionally, with LONG painful labors. So a little Iranian mom walks in the hospital in labor and and pops out the New Years Baby just 5 minutes ahead of Colby! But, I was so happy to have a boy, after 3 girls, I didn't care! You were so beautiful. I remember your dad saying, we didn't get the New Years Baby, We didn't get a 1982 tax deduction, but we got a BoY!!! They did not do ultra sounds then, so all of my babies were a surprise as to what sex they would be!

I had heard other Moms say that they loved their sons, Sons take good care of their moms! And that is exacltly what Colby does, he takes good care of me. If I need help with anything, Colby is my right hand man. (Christmas Lights, Fall Clean-up, Summer lawn care, Hauling off large loads, cleaning the garage out) just to name a few. The best part is anything he does for me he does such a professional job, Like I would want it done and or better!

Colby and I have a special Mother son Connection! We have been through many ups and downs, many dissappointments and many celebrations! That is what bonds our Love. I know when you were 19 years old and we found out about your Kidney function, It was and is still the hardest thing to watch you go through. But, you have stepped up to bat and accepted the situation....... and you are my HERO! Honestly, as you lay in the hospital so many times, I would look at you and think, you have had so many horrible trials, but you survived them. And you are one strong and Amazing Son. You are not only my Hero, But also,your dads, Lauries,your sisters, your neices and nephews, your extended family, your friends.

It makes me happy that you have felt better lately. That is all I want for you is to feel good, and be able to live your life and do the things you love.. Happy Birthday Colby I love you so much!

Ally's Dance Performance!!

Monday night we had a fun evening watching Ally perform her Tap and Ballet Numbers. Ally has a natural talent for dancing and has such great rythym, however it was questionable if she would go through with the show! She gets stage fright and has backed out of previous performances. But not this time!! The lighting made it so when she was on stage she could not see the audience, so she danced her heart out. It was so fun to watch her . Ally was the youngest in her class, but by far the best dancer. She never missed a step. So proud of you Ally!! With her hair all curled and her make-up on she looked stunning, and so grown up!!

Early Christmas Present!

Do these kids look sweet and innocent? Well Sometimes!! Almost 2 years ago our Grandfather clock, that was an inheritance from Doug's parents, qiut ticking out its friendly chimes. One of my sweet and innocent grandchildren pulled on the pendulum as it was swinging back and forth, and I could not make it work again. I kept telling myself that I need to load the clock in the Expedition, and take it to a clock shop. Just never got that task accomplished. Last week as I was babysitting Noah and Natalee, they were busy pulling on the non-swinging pendulum,unknown to me!! When all of a sudden I hear the clock Chimming, I was so excited!!! Somehow they fixed the clock!! I was so happy ! What a perfect early Christmas Present!! Now I have got to figure out a way to keep the door locked so it won't happen again, the lock is broke!

Any ideas? Thanks Natalee and Noah!

You are such a special daughter!! We have been best friends since the day you were born. I am so glad you were my first born. I remember always wanting to be a mom and when you were born I looked at you and thought, "Oh my Gosh, now what do I do! I realized how overwhelming of a job I had just taken on. {Sorry you had to be the guinea pig} But we just started on the journey taking it one day at a time . You were always obedient and had tunnel vision of what direction you were headed! Thank Heavens it was the right direction, that made my job easier!
It has been fun to watch you take on motherhood. I am so proud and impressed with you. The amazing mom of 3 beautiful children. I love how you make time to be so involved in your childrens classes, and activities. I watch you making alot of sacrifices for your family. Thats what being a mom is about.
Your home is so inviting, all the neighborhood loves to be at your house. You are so welcoming to all of your family, weather it is a fast drop in for a minute, an overnight stay, lending your car, or driving someone to the airport , you are always willing to make it work out. You are so giving to everyone. You are the Salt lake Connection!!
I love spending time with you and your family. You always have a fun adventure planned.

Happy Birthday a day early! We love having you as a part of our family! When Nicole met you over a year ago, it didn't take her long to know you were special and someone she had been praying to meet. We are so happy she found you! We love your fun personality anf great sense of humor. I don't know how you come up with your hilarious responses to situations when you don't even have time to think and BAM every body is laughing!
You are so talented. With a growing business, your creativite and artistic talents are amazing , and I know you will succeed.
I love your home that you had already started to renovate and redo. You have such great ideas and motivation. Nicole told me when she was about 13yrs. old, I want a husband that can do everything, carpenter, mechanic, welder, she found him you can do them all and more!

Trying to flow Thanksgiving and Christmas! Nicole and her freind Ryan came to get me in the festive spirit! I know it is early, but it was either last week-end or Christmas Eve! And I chose the earlier date. I love when they come , we play Christmas music and eat good treats, and have fun laughing and turning boxes full of STUFF into a masterpiece. Doug is building a little stable for the nativity so I will post a few pictures later. Colby came and helped put up the lights outside, I am so glad this chore was finished while the weather was warm! Thanks so much for all the help I got !! Now I cant wait for all of my family and freinds to come for Christmas Parties.

MYLEE ...Born November 4th 2006. A precious One year old.. My youngest Treasure . It has been the funnest experience to watch her grow this past year. Although she is tiny, she is smart and very good at all her motor skills. She walks fast now, so no rest for anyone! She moves from tearing all the clothing out of her moms bottom drawer, to crawling as far as she can into the refrigerator to remove whatever she can reach, to taking hands full of dry dog food from the dog dish and depositing it into the dogs water dish!! So MUCH HELP!! We went to Applebees to eat dinner with Holly and Kevin and their family the other night and MYLEE was sitting at the end of the booth in her high chair, she was listening and right into the conversation, she took her two little hands and put them on her cheeks, then she put one hand on her chin and rested her elbow on the table!! She looked so grown up ! I couldn't get my camera fast enough, and she would not do a rerun! One of the cutest things she does is DANCE !! Whenever music is playing she sways her little tiny butt to the music, and she is right on beat. MYLEE has always been my little friend but lately she has decided she really likes me...She reaches for me and she wants me to hold her. We have a special connection and a bond I hope last forever. Being a Grandma is the best! I am so blessed to have MYLEE as my 5th grandchild. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS MYLEE........ I LOVE YOU !

My Second Daughter! What a GEM! Sometimes I look at her and think she can't really be mine...She is so AMAZING! NICOLE is so organized, and focused she sets her goals high and heads in the right direction daily. I know that NICOLE was dreading this Birthday....until she met Andy (her new Husband) now it doesn't matter how old she gets as long as they grow old together!! NICOLE is so happy in her life right now, and that makes me happy also. Every Christmas we all anticipate the little cookbook she has created for each one of us, with a collection of yummy recipies she has tried and tested throughout the year....All wrapped in fancy font, special paper and bows. Its a treasure and a tradition. What a great cook and homemaker. Her new little cottage home is so absolutely inviting, classy, organized and right out of a magazine. NICOLE loves to entertain...and it is always special, She goes the extra mile on everything. NICOLES family is important to her, we all love and seek her advise. She is working a full time job at Southern Utah University and also working hard to recieve her Masters Degree . Each year, Maybe 2 or 3 times a year she comes to help me clean organize and decorate my home. My favorite is Christmas!! She has such great taste and turns my home into a dream come true! I am proud of you Nicole. All of the above are true and amazing, but my very favorite thing about you Nicole is your strong Testimony of the Gospel. What a Pillar of strength you are to every one of us! Happy Birthday NICOLE ! I LOVE YOU!

Autumn.. My favorite time of the year! I t has been such a great fall season, my potted plants still have not frozen black! I know that has set a record. Usually by August we get a hard frost, so this year is unique. I remember my kids would always be building snowmen on the front yard on Halloween day, and the cute costumes we had planned were always ruined because it was necassary to wear a warm ski parka while trick or treating!! So I am welcoming this warm Fall season with open arms. Above are pictures of my front Porch and my dinning room table.

Being the middle child, she is very well adjusted,always concerned about others before herself. AMBER has a personality that attracts people to her, she is fun to be around, very social, she makes those around her feel comfortable and at ease. AMBER has a special gift of being a peacemaker, she doesn't like contention. AMBER was just 19 years old when she started a succesful business "Ouick N Tasty" Drive Inn, with its famous Raspberry shakes ! She is very smart, independant, and business minded, and a very HARD HARD worker! AMBER is the cutest mother to Natalee, (31/2 yrs. )and Noah (18 months)! She does have her hands full, but knows it is all worth it . AMBER has a beautiful home at Garden City, Over looking the Turquoise Blue Lake ! She loves the Gospel and has a special testimony! AMBER adores her husband "Nate", and loves to spend time with him! AMBER is a special friend to me , one of my best friends, we talk on the phone daily. I love her so much...
