TIN FOIL DINNERS!

More fun times! Sunday after church Colby and Laurie called to see if we wanted to go for a ride up in the Mountains and cook Tin Foil Dinners! Of course we said YES, we love the mountains, and the wild flowers were blooming so beautiful everywhere! We ended up right by the Stake girls campground, by Red Spur! My Old stomping grounds!

Colby and Laurie, cooking our dinner over hot coals! They turned out perfect, and so delicous!

Laurie keeping the coals going! Colby in his element! He is an amazing Photographer, check out his blog (Colbys Backcountry) for a Cool slide show of all the Wild Flowers!

Do you have certain tried and true ingredients you put in your tin foil dinners?

Yes! Mia, I put the hamburger patty, chopped up potates, carrots then I mix 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, with a little lipton onion soup (Powdered) and put a heaping tablespoon on top of carrots and potaoes in each dinner, then top with frozen peas or frozen corn. Double wrap in tin foil. The cream of mushroom soup makes a gravy, it also keeps it from burning or sticking!

That is the ultimate compliment when your kids ask you to go with them on an adventure.

You are such cute mountaineers! Dad reminds me of Grandpa Bingham with those suspenders. We had tinfoil dinners at girl's camp and they were sooo good. I think what makes them so good is eating them outdoors.
